The Maze Runner is a dystopian science fiction film series based on James Dashner's novels, following Thomas and other young people trapped in a mysterious maze.
Thomas wakes up in an elevator with no memory of his past. He finds himself trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, and must work together to escape while uncovering the dark secrets behind their imprisonment.
After escaping the Maze, Thomas and the Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: crossing the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with deadly obstacles and the zombie-like Cranks infected by the Flare virus.
Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final mission to save their friends and find a cure for the Flare. They must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all.
